Worship was never about the song we sing — it’s about the heart we bring. Search my heart, Jesus.
“But the LORD said to Samuel, ‘Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.’”
“For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.”
“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Worship is more than a performance.
Somewhere along the way, worship can start to be about the moment, the melody, the mood in the room. But before it was ever a song, worship was a posture of the heart.
When everything else fades — the music, the lights, the performance — what’s left is what worship was always meant to be: a heart turned fully toward Jesus.
When the music stops, what’s actually happening in your heart? What would it look like to bring Jesus your whole heart today, not just your voice?
Tell Jesus you’re sorry for the times worship became more about performance than presence.
Ask Him to search your heart, and bring you back to what worship was always meant to be — all about Him.
