"Come Jesus Come" is a worship anthem co-written by Stephen McWhirter, his wife Tara McWhirter, Hank Bentley, and Bryan Fowler — born out of a quiet, desperate moment of prayer during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Stephen opened his Bible to Revelation 22:20 — "Behold, I am coming soon" — and felt the weight of those words in a way he never felt before. Not as theology. As a cry. A longing. That night, a song was born.
His record label didn't want it. So Stephen released it independently. Eventually it went viral — and it has never stopped.
