We can make faith complicated.
Our theology, our worship, our churches, our ministries, our accomplishments — underneath all of it is a relationship with Jesus.
Before asking what we can do for Him, begin with His love for you, and your love for Him. Spend a few minutes focusing on His love for you and telling Him why you love Him.
If everything else were stripped away, what would it mean for me to simply love Jesus today? Write one or two things down that you can begin reordering in your life to make more room for Him. What is one way you can love Jesus today?
Tell Jesus why you love Him.
Don’t ask for anything. Simply offer Him your affection and your gratitude. Consider how He gave Himself for you, your salvation, His care, protection, or provision in your life. What are reasons why you love Him? Now tell Him.
